July 5  - 9, July 26-30, August 23-27

Come join us for five fun packed days of adventure and four nights of camping in the beautiful Adirondack, Berkshire and Catskill Mountains

Day 1 - Wasting no time getting started, we'll make a stop en route to the Catskills at Cornwall-on-the Hudson for a 2-hour, open water, kayaking tour around picturesque Bannerman Island.  We'll then trade our kayaks and paddles for bikes (that we provide) and helmets as we ride some of the area's best mountain bike trails at Stewart State Forest, home to the Dark Horse 40. Lunch on trails. Continue drive up to Haines Falls, NY and set up base camp. Explore, swim, play ball. Dinner at camp. Games. Sleep.

Day 2 - Breakfast at camp.  Today we head towards North River in the Adirondacks for a thrilling white water rafting trip down the 17-mile Hudson River Gorge.  The exhilarating class III and IV rapids are sure to hit the spot if it's excitement you're looking for.  Lunch and a BBQ dinner riverside. Return to camp. Games. Sleep.

Day 3 - Prepare to swing through the trees like Tarzan at North America's largest aerial adventure park.  Designed by Swiss mountaineers, the park consists of eight courses with 115 elements.  You will move from one tree platform to the next using the many bridges, tunnels, trapezes and ziplines, some that are over 60 feet off the ground.  Once our feet are back on earth, we'll exchange stories of our day in the trees while hiking on some of the region's finest trails.

Day 4 - Breakfast at camp. Kaaterskill Falls is the highest waterfall in New York. Just the site of it is enough to satiate most adventurers, but not us. First we'll climb to the top and then, with the support of our certified climbing guides, rappel back down next to the 180 foot crown jewel of the Catskills.  Want more?  How about a Tyrolean traverse where you'll pull yourself across a line from one end to the other while on a safety belay over 100 feet off the ground.  Lunch at falls. Dinner at camp. Games. Sleep.

Day 5 - Breakfast at camp. Hike our favorite trail in the region, Devil's Path.  Although this mountainous trail is considered to be one of the most challenging in the North East, the fun crevasses, rock scrambling sections and views from the top will more than compensate for your hard effort.  Dirty and sweaty after our hike, we'll get cleaned up and refreshed while tubing the rapids of the scenic Esopus River. Dinner in Phoenicia and we're on our way back home.

Cost:  $1,189 includes all technical equipment, mountain bikes, kayaks, camping gear (kids provide sleeping bag and pad), food and beverage, certified guides, instruction and round trip transportation from your choice of Cold Spring Harbor High School (pickup 6:30am, return 9:30pm) or the NE corner of 73rd Street and Broadway, NYC (pickup 8:30am, return 7:30pm).

Space is limited to nine campers, so please don't hesitate to contact us to learn more and to register.  Click here to view our cancellation policy and here for a packing list.

July 10 - 11 & July 31 - Aug 1

Two action packed days of empowering outdoor activities and one night of camping in the rugged Shawangunk and Catskill Mountains await our eager adventurers.

Day 1 - Not long after passing through the funky college town of New Paltz, we'll take a  hike on the beautiful Mohonk Preserve out to a unique remote spot, Bonticou Crag.  Its Flintstones-like talus field of giant boulders creates great opportunities for scrambling, exploring, orienteering and caving.   After eating lunch high on top of the cliffs, we'll make a stop at one of our favorite watering holes for a quick dip before settling into our campsite for the evening.  Dinner, games, smores, roasted marshmallows and stories follow before bedtime.

Day 2 - After a hardy breakfast, we're off to one of the areas most popular hikes... and for good reasons.  The views from Giant's Ledge and Panther, nearly 4,000 feet high, offer some of the best views in these mountains.  Once back from our trek, we'll get suited up in helmets and life jackets in preparation for a thrill ride down the rapids of the Esopus River.  Be thankful for the wood bottom tubes as you get bounced around in this pinball machine-like trip.  Dinner in quaint Phoenicia and home we go feeling like we've been away for weeks and with memories that will last a lifetime.

Cost:  $295 includes all camping (kids provide sleeping bags and pads) and technical equipment, guides, meals and round trip transportation from either Little Neck Plaza (pickup 6:30am, return 7:30pm) or West 73rd Street and Broadway, NYC (pickup 8:30am, return 9:30pm).

August 28 - 29

Day 1 Our Berkshire Adventure starts with a trip to North America's largest Aerial Adventure Park.  Designed by Swiss mountaineers, the park consists of eight courses with 115 different elements.  The objective is to move from one tree platform to the next using the many bridges, tunnels, trapezes and zip lines, some that are 60 feet high.  Your harness will be attached to cables at all times and each course offers a different level of difficulty making it fun and safe for all.

Once our feet are back on the ground, we'll set out on our favorite hike in the region to Race Brook Falls.  Standing under the falls or taking a dunk in the pool will be a welcome refresher after the challenging hike to get there.

Day 2 - After an evening of camping at the rustic Savoy Mountain State Forest located high atop the Hoosac Mountain Range, we'll grab our paddles and lfe jackets and head down one of the North East's most exhilerating rafting rivers.  Flowing through a narrow gorge, the class III-IV Dryway section of the Deerfield offers continuous white water action full of holes, big waves, technical rapids and great surfing; this is the real deal!

Cost:  $399 includes all camping (kids provide sleeping bags and pads) and technical equipment, certified guides, all meals, gratuities for river guides and round trip transportation from either Little Neck Plaza (pickup 6:30am, return 7:30pm) or West 73rd Street and Broadway, NYC (pickup 8:30am, return 9:30pm).
